Salvations' Salvage Design Competition brings together high quality design with salvage materials, demonstrating that one person's trash can turn into invaluable treasure. It challenges local artists in Louisiana and the Gulf South to stretch their creativity, innovation and workmanship.
Through a three-step application, design and judging process, participants create and present original work to a team of professional judges. Designers compete for the chance to win one of six top awards, including Best in Show.
At the Salvations Gala + Auction, each piece with be auctioned with part of the proceeds benefitting the designers and part supporting The Green Project.

Designers will receive 30% of the auction price via check within 2 weeks of the gala. In order to receive your check, you must submit a completed W-9 when prompted.
All designers must apply to participate in Salvations 2018. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until September 30, 2018. Application components include:
Designers will be notified of acceptance into competition within two weeks of submitting an application.
At least 90% of the finished design must be made with reclaimed materials. Once the piece is complete, designers must submit an online Submission Form describing the design and materials used. Preview the online Submission Form here.

Six (6) pieces will be selected for top awards, which will be announced ahead of the gala. Pieces will then be exhibited and auctioned at Salvations Gala + Auction on November 29, 2018 at City Park.
