An online Submission Form must be submitted for each piece. The form asks for details about the piece and documentation of the materials used (photo documentation is encouraged).
These details will be used as part of (1) the judging process, particularly the "creative use of salvage materials" category, and (2) to give gala attendees background on the story behind your piece.
Once you apply to participate, you will receive a link to the online submission form. All physical pieces and submission forms are due by October 31, 2018 at 5pm.
The materials and photos below are examples pulled from multiple past submissions. The finished piece at the end is the "Makin' Music" Piano Bench, designed and completed by Glenn Smith and Joe Roberts for Salvations 2012.

Description of Piece
In 250 words, please provide a summary of your piece, the materials used and your design/construction process. This information will be used to give the judges context and to market your piece at auction.
Made from Heart Pine found at the Green Project, our "Makin' Music" Piano Bench combines traditional table design with a decorative inlay of music notes, representing the lively music culture of New Orleans. The wood was de-nailed, cleaned and planed before being used. We used mortise and tenon joinery to put the piece together. Wanting to retain the beauty of the wood, we used a light stain to finish the piece.
Please list the materials used, where you got them and how they are used in your finished piece below. If materials were purchased, please upload an image or scan of the receipt.
